1 Core Philosophy & Introduction
Welcome to PDF Page Extractor. We recognize that electronic documents frequently contain confidential, proprietary, legal, medical, or financial information. Our service was intentionally engineered from the ground up to operate as a 100% private, client-side utility.
Unlike traditional online file converters that require you to transmit documents over the internet to remote servers, PDF Page Extractor executes all operations inside the local memory of your web browser. This Privacy Policy details our technical design, data practices, and privacy guarantees.
Our Fundamental Privacy Commitment
Your PDF files never leave your device. We do not transmit, copy, inspect, convert on the cloud, or store your documents on any server at any time.
2 Zero-Upload Architecture (How It Works)
When you select or drop a PDF into the tool workspace, your web browser reads the raw file data using standard JavaScript HTML5 File APIs (e.g. FileReader and ArrayBuffer).
All document operations—including page thumbnail rendering (via PDF.js), page extraction, splitting, merging, rotation, page reordering, and watermark rendering (via pdf-lib)—are executed exclusively by your computer's CPU and browser engine.
- No file payload is ever packaged into an HTTP POST request or web socket stream.
- No cloud processing pipelines, remote workers, or third-party APIs process your files.
- When you download your modified PDF, the file is generated directly from your browser's RAM as an in-memory blob and saved directly to your local file system.
3 Information We Do NOT Collect
Because of our client-side architecture, we do not have access to, collect, or store any of the following:
- Document Content: Text, images, drawings, tables, signatures, vector artwork, or metadata embedded within your PDF documents.
- File Identifiers: Original filenames, file sizes, author names, creation dates, or folder directory paths.
- Personal Identity Data: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, account passwords, physical addresses, or government identification numbers.
- Payment Information: Credit card numbers, banking credentials, or billing details (PDF Page Extractor is 100% free with no payment mechanisms).
4 Local Device Storage & Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies, cross-site trackers, advertising pixels, or persistent user profiling identifiers.
We use your browser's native localStorage feature solely to remember your preferred client-side interface settings across visits:
theme: Remembers whether you prefer Light or Dark mode.lang: Remembers your selected language preference (e.g., English, Spanish, French, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese).
This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time via your browser's cache or settings.
5 Web Server Logs & Static Asset Delivery
When your browser requests the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and font assets that compose PDF Page Extractor, our web hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard HTTP connection metadata. This standard technical log typically includes:
- Your Internet Protocol (IP) address.
- Your browser type and version (User Agent).
- The date, timestamp, and requested URL path (e.g.,
/index.html,/css/style.css). - Referring website address and HTTP response status code.
These logs are collected strictly for network reliability, DDoS mitigation, and server performance monitoring. They are never linked to personal identities or document processing activities.
6 GDPR, CCPA & International Compliance
Under international privacy regulations—including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe, the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Data Minimization by Design: Since PDF Page Extractor never ingests or processes personal data from your documents, privacy compliance is intrinsically preserved by our architecture.
- No Sale or Sharing of Personal Data: We never sell, rent, monetize, or disclose personal information or document data to third parties.
- No Tracking Profiles: We do not build user behavioral profiles or perform automated decision-making.
If you have questions regarding your data privacy rights, you can contact us at hello@pdfpageextract.com.
7 Third-Party Services & Content Delivery
All critical application logic, PDF parsing algorithms, and styling libraries are hosted locally on our web domain or executed locally in the browser sandbox. We do not inject third-party ad networks, telemetry trackers, or social media tracking pixels.
If you navigate to external links (e.g., external references or documentation), please review the respective privacy policies of those third-party sites, as we do not exercise control over external platforms.
8 Document Retention & Memory Erasure
Because we do not upload files, our server retention period is zero seconds.
On your local machine, loaded PDFs reside temporarily in the volatile Random Access Memory (RAM) of your active browser tab. The moment you:
- Click the "Clear" or "Reset" button inside the workspace,
- Close the browser tab or window, or
- Navigate away to another web page,
the memory buffers allocated to your documents are immediately released by the browser garbage collector.
9 Security Standards
We implement industry-standard technical measures to protect the integrity of the application:
- HTTPS Everywhere: All communications between your browser and our web servers are strictly encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
- Content Security Policy: Security headers prevent unauthorized script execution and code injection.
- Browser Sandboxing: Operations execute inside your browser's native security sandbox, isolating memory from malicious access.
10 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements to our tool or adjustments to legal frameworks. Any revisions will be published immediately on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We encourage users to review this page periodically.
